Animals In A Cup

This is just a small TatBomb that I detonated yesterday. Bought for 50p from a charity shop, this delightful piece features two barely-identifiable animals, their features reminiscent of melted wax, peering dolefully out of a teacup.
We believe that the one on the left (with its inexplicable head-rose)is supposed to be a kitten, and the one on the right is some sort of puppy.
Yes, they appear to be melded together.
